Kennedy Space Center Saturn-V Horizontal Display Cradle

This kit will include all the parts to hold your Saturn-V rocket in a horizontal position. The kit exactly duplicates the real cradles used for displaying one of the remaining Saturn-V rockets which resides at the John F. Kennedy Space Center - Apollo/Saturn-V Center today. The kit will show off your Saturn-V model in it's full glory - with all of its stages separated (*). These kits are being designed to work with all available models which have separating stages in 1:144 & 1:96 with 1:72 being released if/when Real Space Models release their planned 1:72 Saturn-V model. Another version of this kit will be released for the 1:70-scale Apogee Components Saturn-V model which is not designed to split into stages. A 1:48 scale version may also become available eventually if there is any interest.
For completeness sake, the kit includes some extra cradles for the missing interstages which are actually not on display on the real thing at KSC. An extra set of floor-mounted cradles will support the Command/Service Module as the real display at KSC suspends these from the ceiling of the Apollo/Saturn-V Center.
Another version of this horizontal cradle may be considered for Saturn-1B models if popular enough. Please e-mail me to let me know if you'd like one.
Once available, if customers would like to build a diorama of the real Apollo/Saturn-V Center as it truly is, then I can arrange to supply the two floors and the Crane from the Launch Umbilical Tower (taken from LCM's Launch Complex 39 - Apollo/Saturn Mobile Launcher kit) which are currently within the Center. Please e-mail me if this would be of interest to you.
